Year 2 Visit to Staircase House
Last Friday, our Year 2 pupils visited Staircase House in Stockport as part of their topic work on the Great Fire of London. The children explored the Victorian rooms and learned what life was like in a Victorian home. They saw how houses were furnished, discovered the differences between rich and poor households, and found out about the daily routines of people living in that period.
The pupils showed excellent behaviour throughout the visit, listening carefully and asking thoughtful questions. Their new knowledge and vocabulary will now be used back in the classroom to enrich their topic work and deepen their understanding of Victorian life.
