Extra-Curricular Clubs
At The Ryleys School, we believe that personal-development continues well beyond the classroom and so we offer pupils an abundance of extra-curricular clubs which operate both at lunchtime and after school.
Teachers will make recommendations to parents and children about co-curricular activities, helping them to pursue interests and hobbies that facilitate their growth as individuals and their sense of belonging to the wider school community.
We offer a diverse co-curricular programme: From sailing, water polo, gymnastics, ballet to art, film, and book club - there is something to suit everyone. Each term brings a new assortment of clubs, including:

EXTRA @The Ryleys - After School Club
At The Ryleys, the school day doesn’t simply end at 3.30pm. Our wraparound care provision, Extra@The Ryleys, offers a seamless extension to the day for pupils from Reception to Year 6—combining flexibility for parents with a safe, engaging and familiar environment for children.
Whether you need occasional support or a regular routine, Extra@ provides a calm, well-structured setting where children can relax, socialise and take part in a wide range of enjoyable activities. From sports and games to creative play and quiet time for homework, each session is thoughtfully balanced to suit all ages.
A natural extension of the school day
Children remain within the comfort and security of the school environment, surrounded by familiar faces and routines. Pre-Prep pupils are collected directly by staff, while Prep pupils make their way independently after school or following clubs—ensuring a smooth and reassuring transition for all.
Flexible, reliable and easy to book
Led by Tilda—fully trained in safeguarding and first aid, with all appropriate checks completed—Extra@The Ryleys is designed with busy families in mind.
Sessions run Monday to Thursday:
A light snack is included, giving children time to refuel and recharge.
Bookings are made directly with Tilda via WhatsApp on 07305 143419 (please book at least one day in advance).
Designed around family life
We understand that no two families are the same. That’s why Extra@The Ryleys offers a flexible, dependable solution—giving parents peace of mind and children a positive, enjoyable end to their day.
The Early Bird Club provides supervision for children who need to be dropped off at school before 8.15am. Breakfast is not provided, but the children are welcome to bring their own (nut-free) snack if required. The club operates from the art room and the children are able to access a variety of activities during that time.
