Useful Information
Relocating?
Whether you are moving to the UK for the first time or returning home, relocating to Cheshire is no doubt going to be a wonderful move. You have chosen to live in a beautiful part of the world with a rich abundance of cultural attractions, all of which we take advantage of here at The Ryleys.
The Ryleys is located within the beautiful village of Alderley Edge, a picturesque location within rural Cheshire. It is said to be one of the most sought-after places to live outside London with easy access to Manchester Airport, a main train line into London (1hr 40mins) and close proximity to the M6 and M56.
On our doorstep, we have The Edge, a National Trust beauty spot set around a dramatic sandstone escarpment in rolling Cheshire farmland. The Edge has spectacular views, intriguing legends and an ancient mining history.
There are a number of places of historical interest local to The Ryleys such as Tatton Park, Quarry Bank Mill, a historic mill, which was once used in the cotton industry and Dunham Massey, all of which are visited by the children on trips.
Of course, our close proximity to both Manchester and Liverpool makes Cheshire a firm favourite for all sporting fans too.
We currently welcome pupils to The Ryleys from:
United Kingdom | Argentina |
Portugal | Brazil |
Australia | France |
Italy | Bulgaria |
Spain | Singapore |
USA | Poland |
China | Germany |
Bursaries
The Ryleys new Bursary Scheme offers a number of parents assistance with school fees. This wonderful opportunity allows parents who may not have been able to send their child to the school to now see their child benefit from the outstanding teaching and fantastic facilities that we offer.
As a charitable organisation, the school is delighted that the new Bursary Scheme is available for children who are currently within the state sector and who the school deems will benefit from a Ryleys’ education. The scheme is available for children in Reception through to Year 5.
The school understands that no two families are the same and we invite you to talk to us so we can offer advice on how your child can benefit from all we have to offer.
To apply for a new Bursary, The School Business Manager will provide a bursary application form which should be completed and returned in strict confidence. For new pupils in Year 1 upwards, the award of bursarial support is subject to your child attending the school for a ‘Taster Day’ where they will have an informal assessment, which includes reading, writing and maths.
In addition, the original Bursary scheme exists for parents who have found themselves in a difficult financial position and require assistance with school fees.
