Science Workshop
Parents and pupils had the unique opportunity to dive into the world of science through an engaging, hands-on workshop designed to spark curiosity and creativity. The interactive event, held in the Centenary Hall due to large numbers, invited families to explore scientific concepts in a fun and educational way.
Led by the school’s enthusiastic science teacher Mr Anthony and supported by some Year 6 pupils, the workshop featured a range of exciting activities.
Pupils, alongside their parents, were encouraged to work together, solving challenges and experimenting with various scientific tools and materials. The event aimed to foster a deeper appreciation for science while reinforcing the importance of collaborative learning.
“We wanted to create an experience that was both educational and enjoyable for all ages,” said Mr Anthony, Head of Science at The Ryleys. “It’s wonderful to see families come together and share in the excitement of discovery.”
The workshop, part of the schools Inspiring Young Minds programme, was a resounding success, with participants leaving inspired and eager to continue their scientific journeys. Parents expressed their delight at the hands-on approach, praising the opportunity to engage with their children in such a meaningful way.
The Ryleys School plans to host more interactive events throughout the year, further strengthening the connection between school and home while fostering a love for learning.
