From The Head - Friday 13th December 2024
Hot on the heels of the Pre-Reception nativity last week, the Reception children entertained parents and families with theirs on Thursday. They were truly magnificent and flawless in their performance with each and every one superbly rising to the occasion. If they are reaching this standard in Reception, who knows what they will be doing in Year 6!
On Thursday evening, it was the turn of the children from Year 1 to Year 6 to perform in our annual Christmas Carol Concert. This is always a special occasion and the children did not fail to deliver once again. We were treated to a delightful array of musical performances and readings which created a lovely festive, magical atmosphere. We are very blessed to have such talented performers in our midst.
To round the week off in style, we thoroughly enjoyed a spectacular assembly about Ancient Egypt from Year 4 this morning. The level of performance was simply brilliant - both informative and amusing at the same time. The vision of pupils wrapped in toilet roll will stay with us for a while and who knew there could be a song about mummification?!
These school events are the perfect way to bring the community together in shared celebrations of life and are such joyful occasions. Thank you to everyone for your contribution and creating such wonderful memories for us all.
